This year go Beyond The Tale as you dive deeper into the story of Jonah and the Whale. Each day your child will learn how this relevant bible story can transform and deepen their relationship with God. As we go beyond the surface… we hope that your child will resurface with a passion and desire to Make Jesus Their Forever Friend and find community with their new friends.

Day 1
W- WHO DO YOU TRUST?
When GOD Speaks, We Should Listen

We Should Listen To God -
OBJECTIVE:
In this lesson children will learn that we should listen to God and do what He says. -
KEY PASSAGE:
Jonah 1:1-16, Jonah Runs From God -
MEMORY VERSE:
“Lord, I call out to you with all my heart. Answer me, and I will obey your orders.” Psalm 119:145 (NIrV) -
STORY:
Jonah Runs from GOD and learns the hard way to trust GOD and Listen to what HE says
Day 2
H- Hide-Go-Seek
We should not HIDE from GOD BUT seek HIM

Wherever we go, God is there. -
OBJECTIVE:
In this lesson children will learn that no matter where you are, you can not hide From GOD -
KEY PASSAGE:
Jonah 1:1-17 Jonah Hides From God -
MEMORY VERSE:
“I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. ” Psalms 139:11-12 -
STORY:
Jonah tries to hide from GOD in the Bottom of a ship

A – ALL IN
Alone Time to Talk to GOD
Prayer Time. How do we talk to GOD?

God Hears Us When we Pray -
OBJECTIVE:
In this lesson children will learn that God listens when we talk to Him through our prayers. -
KEY PASSAGE:
Jonah 1:17-2:10, Jonah Inside The Fish -
MEMORY VERSE:

STORY:
Jonah prayed to God, and God heard Jonah’s cries for help.

L – Level Up
Go where GOD Sends You & Do What HE Says

OBJECTIVE:
In this lesson Children will learn that we should strive to obey and do things God’s way. -
KEY PASSAGE:
Jonah 3, Jonah Goes To Nineveh -
MEMORY VERSE:
“Lord, I call out to you with all my heart. Answer me, and I will obey your orders.” Psalm 119:145 (NIrV) -
STORY:
God gave Jonah a second chance to preach to the people of Nineveh, and this time Jonah was ready to listen and obey.
Day 5
E- Eternal Reward
When you do what GOD says HIS rewards are Everlasting, Endless and Eternal…

OBJECTIVE:
In this lesson children will learn that God forgives others and so can we. -

Jonah 4, Jonah’s Anger at God -

STORY:
The people of Nineveh had turned from doing things the wrong way. God showed His love for them by forgiving them.
